The Velvet Underground & Nico

I heard about this album years ago from school, but I never bothered looking it up. Then like, a couple of years ago I was trying so hard trying to remember what was the name of the album with the banana on it. Luckily somehow google actually understood what I was describing. That is how I found out about Velvet Underground and their 1967 album Velvet Underground and Nico. I don't know a lot about music history and different eras of music, but I just went through it and they sounded like they were ahead of their time. It was experimental and really out there with the use of elements from different genres. later on, I realized and found out that they were a really influential band, and part of their influences inspired other genres. like dream pop, experimental rock, art rock, and more. This is one of the albums when I listen to and I don't think that any genre is dead or "too old."
